Who needs a DOT Drug & Alcohol Consortium?
CDL drivers subject to FMCSA drug and alcohol testing requirements must participate in a compliant testing program.
Are random tests included in the $249 annual price?
Yes. Random drug and alcohol tests are included when your driver is selected through the BUnited Services consortium.
Is the pre-employment test included?
No. Pre-employment testing is separate from the $249 annual consortium enrollment. The testing fee is $85.
How are drivers added to the random pool?
Once the applicable pre-employment requirements are completed, the driver can be enrolled into the random testing pool.
Do owner-operators need a consortium?
Owner-operators subject to FMCSA drug and alcohol testing requirements must participate through a consortium/third-party administrator.
Can I switch from another consortium?
Yes. We can assist with moving your company and drivers into the BUnited Services program while helping you understand the steps needed to avoid a compliance gap.
What happens when I hire another driver?
Contact BUnited Services so the driver's testing and applicable Clearinghouse requirements can be completed before the driver is added to your random testing program.
